This product is a selective systemic herbicide that is absorbed
principally through a plant's leaves and roots, with translocation
acropetally in the xylem, and accumulation in the apical meristems.

Ametryn has the following uses:
1) For pre- and post-emergence control of most annual grasses and
broad-leaved weeds found among plantations of pineapples, sugar
cane, bananas, citrus fruits, maize, cassava, coffee, tea, sisal,
cocoa, and oil palms. It can also be used on non-cultivated land.
2) Phytotoxicity: Some sugar cane varieties show temporary chlorosis
or scorching of lower leaves.
